About Catkins Diet And Us

In 2007 my beloved cat Persa was diagnosed with feline diabetes. It was a hard time for me financially and I had no funds to pay for what the veterinarian was trying to get me to purchase. She wanted Persa to be placed on a high carbohydrate diet, and I would have to keep purchasing expensive dry science cat foods.

That did not make a sense to me for up to that point I had always given him dry food and he suddenly got large, and before I knew it he had developed this crazy disease. There was nothing that I could do. I thought that something was not right about this particular diet that the veterinarian was prescribing. So I decided to do some research.

I found from some top veterinarian schools research into cats that had feline diabetes and discovered that cats are carnivores and thereby should not be eating anything but what nature intended the cat to eat and it had nothing to do with dry processed cat food. I delved down deep and found out that felines should be consuming low carbohydrates and high amounts of protein.

Well, my cat Persa was an indoor cat and he could not go out and kill mice and birds, so the only alternative was for me to place him on a strict diet of wet canned cat food. Sure, it still had amounts of carbohydrates, but it was way below what dry food was offering.

Within a week of giving him this special diet, the Catkins Diet, he took a turn for the better. Now remember, I couldn’t even pay for insulin for him; all I had was the Catkins Diet.

This is what this site is all about, to educate you with the knowledge that I had learned to help save my beloved cat. I love all cats and because feline diabetes is on the rise and is in-fact sky rocketing, I want to share what I learned with you.

Please give your cat a hug and place him on the Catkins Diet.

Thanks.
