Cat Vitamins

Is your cat getting his proper daily vitamin intake? Cats need minerals and vitamins to survive just like their owners. Cats, especially indoor cats need a proper diet with the proper nutritional balances and if you don’t supply the proper foods then your cat will suffer. Like humans, felines need vitamin A, D, E, and K along with both water-soluble and fat soluble vitamins. Also make sure that your cats get vitamin B, which includes vitamin B1, B2, B6 and B12. All of these vitamins should be given along with different minerals like potassium and calcium.

Most cats can get these vitamins and minerals in their daily supermarket canned foods, but sometimes these shelf foods can lose their nutritional values if it is on the shelf for a long time. Make sure that when you pick cat food from a supermarket to always be alert to the food on the shelf. If the supermarket is not a very popular one then the chances are very high that their cat food has not been moving off and on the shelves for a while and its nutritional value has also been getting older, which means vitamins are quickly diminishing.

If you are taking the suggestion to create your own cat food for your diabetic cat you will most likely need to add vitamin supplements. If you click on this guide here, we will give you ideas of what to give your feline and what not to give him.
